Hugs and welcome dear friends and special greetings to new readers, welcome aboard! Thanks for signing up and if this is your first time reading a blog as a new member–YAH!!! I hope you enjoy the mixture of yoga, self care and inspirational life affirming blogs on offer. Thank you.

Earlier on during the week I spent the morning visiting an old friend, in fact, we first met at my first ever Family Yoga Class – Happy Hoppers, many years ago.
As we chatted and shared our news, I marvelled at the bond of friendship I share with my friends; even though we don’t see each other often, we share a vibe and understanding, which makes it easy for us to slip in and out of each other’s lives, pick up conversations from when we last spoke and fill in the gaps in our respective life journeys’.
In admiration of my dear friends, this week’s Yoga Poem is in honour of friendship.
A gentle way for me to say thank you to you for blessing my life.
If you are reading this, then this is for you. Thank you.
Gentle Does It
Dear Friend,
Thank you for your radiance
Your ever guiding light of truth, justice and peace
Thank you for holding me, teaching me to take the high road when all I felt was crap and ready to strike.
Thank you for your quiet words, non-judgemental glances as I turned my back on you and your advice and did it “My Way” stomping through the rains and sending Maha Lakshmi out the back door. Thank you for then opening that same door, stepping aside and allow me to view the wonders of my soul, the vastness of our Mother the Earth embedded within.
Thank you for holding the space, keeping me warm and standing firm, strong, connected, gracing my heart when I saw the insurmountable mountain which you easily breathed away; for showing me how to resurrect the ‘I’m-possible’ when all I saw was the ‘impossible’, the barrier, veil of illusion covering my heart.
Thank you for being you, for taking the strides you do to be your best, your very very best which allows me the space to grow and be my very very very best.
Thank you for your visionary sight; the way the red, orange, yellows and green hues of light wrap around your soul, expanding, oscillating through the night as we sit, united in silence, absorbed by the circle of light, waxing and wanning in harmony with the waters of our womb.
And most of all, thank you, for being you, for stepping out of your cocoon, giving me courage to slip out my shell and weave my own tapestry of might and dazzling foresight.
And as I sit and think of you, I feel the warmth embrace of your love and know all is well, the sun will rise, the moon will glow and we’ll be together, travelling, apart, yet as one upon the mountain trail.
Thank you.
