Scared to peep out from under the covers in case our words or presence causes offence.
We often hold ourselves back, afraid to make a stand, shine a light and write and share our work.
Yet there comes a day, a spark of light touches our heart and we know that this is the day, the season and time to say enough is enough.
We hold our pens and declare:
I am alive. I am here to make a difference. I am the breeze in the wind, the ripple in the wave, the roar in the lion.
We look in the mirror of self-love, smile at our reflection and recommit to the truth:
I am ready to open my heart;
To honour my words, the messages inside;
To nurture my spirit, take a stand and surrender to the living word.
The Invitation…
Will, you, dear writer-friend, dear woman of colour and other marginalised women, join the writers and artists, healers, entrepreneurs and more… will you take a stronger stand in your life?
You too have a story to share, a gift, a message to inspire and encourage the world.
Will you be the change your heart longs to be and share your words with humanity?
You can do it.
I believe in you.
Thank you.
And here are some writers who encourage me to stand, heal myself, and use my words to uplift, support others to stand and heal: Melanie J. Jessica A and Tosin Sanusi and Agnes Laurens
Read their words and be inspired. Thank you.
I originally published Words of Encouragement over on Medium.
