Hello and welcome to my blog; it’s good to meet you on the web! How are you today? I hope you feel bonny and gay. Whilst you are here have a browse around my site and share what you enjoy! Thank you.
It’s been another exciting week for me and, considering the amount of debt and financial uncertainty I’m in, I woke this morning feel very prosperous and abundant. This feeling of abundance, trust and knowing that I can and will turn my situation around is a wonderful feeling. My goal is to build back my health, provide a safe and secure foundation for my girls and any future grandchildren my girls may bless with me.
Faith Is My Rock
As you know prayer and meditation form the core of my being and today’s weekly prayer is from a delightful book of prayers, I received as a gift from a dear friend and yoga student.
Early this week, for some reason I woke feeling doubtful and insecure and wondering how am I really going to regain my financial independence and clear these debts? Work is good, I’m on the right path, love teaching yoga, writing brings joy yet the financial rewards seem elusive and bills still remain. I felt ungrateful for the growth and abundance which is appearing. I wanted more. And I want it NOW! As I lay in bed I listened to myself. I felt like a child “I want…I want…I want”….and could feel despair and worry descend even further.
So I rose, picked up the “Gentle Weapon” and as usual found comfort and inspiration in the message.
I’d love to share the prayer with you and trust the words resonate, guide and uplift you.
Wise Counsel
Oh God,
How can I make my way through
the confusion and uncertainty
that cloud so much of what I do?
Guide me to wise teachers and mentors
whose advise is pure
and in tune with Your Will.
Guide me to true friends,
whose counsel is caring
and promotes my best interests.
Guide me to clear, correct decisions,
to conclusions that are sound
and free of all doubt.
Thank you.
(prayer by Rebbe Nachmam of Breslov)
Now isn’t that a moving prayer. As I sat and read the prayer I easily fell into a deep meditation which helped to restore and remain me that true healing and growth takes place in the journey; how I reach “my final destination” how many hearts and lives I touch is more important than me reaching “my goal”.
If life feels uncertain, if you aren’t sure how you are going to get through, breathe, trust, say a few quiet words and have faith. You will make it through. I believe in you and know you can and will make it through.

Yes it does. I undestand. I have recently read that we can’t attract what we want until we’ve accepted and made peace with where we are. Thanks for reinforcing this idea Ntathu
Nicely put..I like that..we can't attract what we want until we've accepted and made peace wtih where we are.." Thank you Jackie
Thanks for this prayer. It fits in nicely with what I’ve been thinking about recently. On a different note, what’s wrong with wanting? Isn’t it wants, dreams and desires that help propell us forward?
Bless you Jackie and thanks for your comments. You're right, there is nothing wrong with wanting..we are humans and as such will always desire and want more. I live my life wanting more! Yet, for me I was getting in the stage where not only was I thinking I want I want, I lost my focus on what I already have and started feeling negative and caught in that spiral of "lack and poverty" mindset. So for me, the ideal balance is to want yet at same time to be thankful for what I already have and to allow myself to graciously ask for and wait for "more". Does that make sense? Take special care. In peace
Beautiful words that touched a cord in my heart. I was writing an Insight today and touched on the same topic of doubt creeping in. I believe that God or the Universe often sends us an obstacle course to ensure we haven't overlooked anything that doesn't ultimately serve us.

So true my dear…always a silver lining behind every cloud. It is a great song and at the end of the day we do our best, give our best and trust God/Universe does the rest. Looking forward to reading your Insight. Take care and thanks for continued love and kind words.
