If you would like to have naturally clear skin, here are three simple skin care habits to help you look your best.
3 Simple Skin Care Tips For Healthy Skin
Here are the 3 simple habits you can adopt on on a daily basis to improve your natural youthful looks. They are habits which I do and help me to keep my skin fresh and youthful looking.
1.Develop A Daily Yoga Practice
Stress, anxiety, fear and worry age you and show up in the form of tired eyes, dull and dry skin. Like most of you I get anxious and worry about my parents and my daughters. To help me manage my levels of anxiety I practice yoga.
For the last 10 years or so I aim to wake before my girls are up. And as part of my daily spiritual practice, I practice yoga and meditation. On good days, when I am mega organised and in the flow I can wake up at 4.00 am and effortlessly complete 20 -30 minutes meditation and do a full 60 minutes yoga sequence, complete with prayers , journalling, and daily affirmations.
On other days, particularly when I am low or during holiday times, I will lay in bed, mulling things over in my head debating whether to get up and do my practice. On these occasions, I stay in bed, say my prayers and focus on deep abdominal breathing. Or I might give myself an energy balancing treatment to revitalise and energise my body.
Stress, anxiety and worry lower your energy. You overeat, and lose your focus. The more I practice yoga, especially during tiring emotional times, the easier it becomes for me to ride the waves and feel better. And therefore maintain my vitality and energy. The post-yogic glow is the perfect anti-dote to perk up tired looking skin.
2.Smile
Even on days when you feel bloated and ugly, sad or lonely, smile. There is always a rainbow in every cloud. No matter how low you feel, life has shown me that good always follow bad. Nowadays, when I am going through a hard time or receive bad news, I grieve, yet know, deep down this sad feeling will pass. It is only temporary and part of this wider creation we call life. As my mother always says “the longest day has an end.”
I am so thankful, to be able to sit here, early morning and write this blog post. This is a dream, one of many, to come through. I may not be top blogger of the year or earn an income from my writings, yet for me, writing fills my spirit, elevates my soul and makes me shine.
Yoga is an inner journey. The energy you feel inside radiates and acts like a magnet. Your eyes shine and skin glows. On a good day there is a presence around you, an aura of light and vitality. It is this energy which draw people to you and inspires them to say you look good, what is your secret?
3. Sip Water Throughout Your Day
We owe our existence to water. Our bodies are over 80% water and we spend the first 9 months of existence encased in a watery sac.
Without water we wither and dry away.
Get into the habit of checking the colour of your urine.
On days when I regularly sip water, my urine is a nice light yellow colour. This is my gauge of how much water I drink during the day.
If your urine looks dark, golden and maybe has a strong odour, that is a sign that your body is out of balance and you need to drink more water.
During winter I find it hard to drink water, so I regularly carry a flask filled with hot water, add a few slices of lemon to it and sip through out the day. That way I can top up and keep myself warm and hydrated.
Summary:
As you can see it is simple to adopt a skin care routine that boosts your vitality and gives you naturally glowing skin.
A daily yoga practice, smiling and sipping warm water throughout your day forms a the foundation of your beauty routine. This helps to maintain your youthful looks and playful energy and gives you the aura of health and youthfulness.
