Blessings Gentle Readers and big hug and greeting to new subscribers – am glad you took time out of your busy schedule to rest and sign up to my blog – Yoga Inspires – a calm space of peace and light in the hectic-ness of your daily life.
And in the spirit of “taking time out” I’m spending this week on a Health and Vitality Cleanse organised by Kate and Vince, a wholesome couple who dedicate their live to sharing their love and passion of organic living through alkalising your diet. Check out their educational health and vitality website here.
Earlier on today, as I was checking my Facebook updates, I noticed my eldest daughter, Hasina, had posted a video, the Four Tops V The Temptations, 1985 for her sister.
I grew up listening to jazz, blues and ragtime music with my dad, so I was real happy to sit down and chill to the sounds of my childhood and remember bonding times spent with dad on a lazy Sunday afternoon listening to him play records and laughing as he did a little jig around Mum’s proud and joy – the coffee table, which took centre stage in the living room.
Thanks for sharing this Time-Out with me!
If you are feeling nostalgic, what childhood songs so you remember hearing your parents or loved ones sing? I’d love to hear what kept you uplifted and inspired. Share your Happy Song Memories in the comment box below and together we can spread a wee bit more love, light and laughter in our homes.

Definitely “My Girl” by the Temptations. I was nine when they cut that record; in the fourth grade and in love with Jeannie Gibbons. I remember pounding dimes into the jukebox and playing that song over and over.
