Greetings dear friends, as part of the 5 Day Unstoppable Marketing Momentum Challenge, organised by Jim Edwards and Jeff Herring, my task today, is to write a short 100-200 word article on the question “What would you say to a newbie who was afraid of meditation?”
Here is my article.
If you are thinking of starting meditation, yet feel unsure and afraid of doing it, I would suggest you try this simple breathing exercise, which will give you a flavour of what it is like to meditate.
- Find a quiet space; make sure you are sitting comfortably in your chair, rest your hands on your lap, close your eyes, breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of 1…2…3…. and breathe out through your nose, again for a count of 1…2…3… .
I would encourage you to breathe like that for five to seven times.
Then, open your eyes and notice how you feel.
How do you feel? What do you notice about your thoughts?
What difficulties did you face in doing this simple breathing exercise?
I’d love to hear your experience.
Email me at ntathu@yogainspires.co.uk or share how you feel in the comments box below.
