Bless you, dear friends, I pray you are well and in vibrant health. Thanks for visiting Yoga Inspires and reading today’s post, A Prayer For Peace In The World.
We are all born with gifts to offer, gifts to help ourselves, our families’, our communities. Let us use our skills, gifts talents and abilities for world unity, peace and prosperity. – Ntathu Allen
I was doing a spot of de-cluttering over the weekend and came across a prayer I wrote,A Prayer For Peace In The World. I remember writing it, after the sense of devastation, horror and shock I felt following the events surrounding 9/11. Although 9/11 occurred in 2001, the aftermath of this war and other wars continue to effect lives today.
How Does “War” Make You Feel?
I often feel frail and wither at the complexities of human emotions and the lengths we will go to inflict pain upon each other in the name of religion, freedom of speech and justice. Why we can’t all live in peace and harmony is beyond me!
As Ghandi says, “be the change you wish to see in the world” and as writing is my thing, in the spirit of peace and reconciliation, I’d like to share Prayer for Peace In The World again today with you.
Maybe between us, as we pray, we can lift the hearts and minds of those actively engaged in wars and offer a helping hand, ray of hope to all families torn apart by war.
Prayer for Peace In The World
Let us pray for universal peace, justice and understanding; let us pray that the leaders of our communities speak words of peace, forgiveness, honesty and integrity; let us pray that those who are suffering find comfort and, in time, peace; let us hold each other, stand together, and celebrate our uniqueness and divinity; let all people of the world see the beauty of their Creator, let all nations strive for healthy union with one another, let the cry of the injured, hurt and maimed bodies of those who grieve feel the warm embrace of the Love of their Creator’s grace and beauty; let us all take responsibility to work together to cultivate the spirit of universal kindness, peace, tranquillity; as we awake and create a brighter today, let our hearts be open, our spirits strong, our minds focused on sowing seeds for a safer, secure, harmonious future for our children’s children’s children; through the power of serenity, let us heal our broken hearts, mend our fragmented bodies and give comfort to the shattered minds and souls to all we know, let us offer a sign of peace to all we meet today. As a people, we are strong, may the rays of love, light and beauty, heal, strengthen, guide and protect us ALL.
What Next? How Can You Bring More Peace Into The World?
It is easy for us to feel powerless in the face of human suffering and tragedy and not know what to do. Sometimes, all we can do is go down on our knees and pray for change in our lives and in the world around us. It may not seem much, a futile act of insanity. However, I strongly believe, that together, through the power of prayer we can create change and through the grace of your Creator and human kindness, we can live in a more harmonious, healthy and happy world.
Thank you.
Namaste
