Welcome dear friends and if this is your first visit to my yoga and wellness blog, Yoga Inspires thanks for passing by. May you have a happy day. Today’s post, My Pride And Joy wasn’t the post I intended to write but I’m super happy and proud of my daughters; I wanna share my joy with you:)
Background To My Joy
You are probably wondering what has got me all excited and merry. When you watch this video of my twin daughters, Maleka and Jameela singing, you’ll know why!
Click here to watch the video on YouTube.
Isn’t this just the most happy-making video you’ve seen?
I’m so pleased for Maleka and Jameela. Maleka – the elder twin, by nine minutes, is playing the red cup and Jameela, the baby of the family; the guitar, recorded this video last summer as part
of their “Summer Holiday Project”.
Naturally the video had a few likes and love from family and friends but generally it sat there with their other videos with the occasional new view until a couple of weeks ago.
Everyone Else Likes Them
Someone saw the video, posted it on tumblr and since then, the likes and views have swelled to over 26,000 and they have over 500 subscribers! Isn’t that magic! The comments are so heart warming I glow whenever I read them.
Maleka and Jameela are quite bewildered by this surge of interest in their video and as they are in the middle of their end of year exams in uni, their focus has been on revising for their exams, rather than celebrating and getting too excited. So, I’m celebrating on their behalf:)
Share Your Joy
If you are a parent I know you’ll share my joy and happiness in seeing Maleka and Jameela being happy and doing their thing.
As parents we want our children to be happy, healthy and do what makes them shine. When I watch this recording, I have a massive smile on my lips, my heart sings and I fly.
Thank You For Allowing Me To Share My Pride And Joy
And Here’s My Friend’s Pride And Joy
My friend and fellow entrepreneur Sonia has a son, Kai, who is 14. Two weeks ago Kai published his first Kindle book about his favourite, Greek Goddess, Artemis, the Greek Goddesses of the hunt and the moon. How cool is that! You can buy your copy here and find out more about Kai’s favourite Greek Goddess, The Deadly Artemis.
Please share your golden nuggets of pride and joy.
I’d love to hear from you about your happy moments with your children/nephews/nieces/younger cousins. It can be anything, from your child turning the corner to make a fresh start in life to your baby taking learning to write their name. Anything you care to contribute will be appreciated and add to the circle of light in my heart. Thank you.
Closing Prayer
To wrap up this impromptu blog, here’s a short prayer to guide you on your way…
may you be blessed with good health, vitality and strength to be your creative best and share your gifts with the world.
Namaste

I love this post. Thanks for sharing my pride and joy re. my son posting his first ebook. He wants to be an author and had decided he would publish his first book at the age of 24. Well he has achieved that goal 10 years early. It is great to see our children enjoying their passion. Great things in store for Maleka and Jameela.
Yes, Sonia I agree; it is great to see children enjoying their passion and wonderful way to increase their confidence and boost self-esteem. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
