Dear friends, please excuse this very rough and ready post …I’m rushing out of the door .. and wanted to share a couple pictures with you from mum’s 80th before I get caught up in my day:)

Mum had soooo much fun celebrating her 80th birthday party, she was like a little girl all smiles and giggles and jumping up and down everytime the door bell rang -considering mum said she didn’t want “any fuss or publicity”..she certainly had a grand time.
Here are some pictures from mum’s birthday party (mum doesn’t really understand what I do, and how my blog works, so when I told her you sent your love and best wishes, she asked how does that work/how do you know she was 80, shrugged her shoulders, smiled and said thank you. Bless her.

We had a great time. Lots of good food, Aunty Molly’s home-made wine flowed and best of all Mum and her friends and relatives had us captured with stories about life “back home” when they were growing-up and their struggles for survival when they arrived in England in the 50s and 60s.
The last guest left after 2.00am and I said a silent prayer of thanks when mum closed her bedroom door and went to bed.
Closing Reflections
I am very thankful my parents are alive and enjoying relatively good health. We celebrated Dad’s 80th in 2012, Hasina, my eldest, 21st was also in 2012 and Maleka and Jameela, my twin daughters will be 21 this year. Like you, all I want is for my family and friends to be healthy and well and I’m thankful for that blessing.
Finally, a special thanks to you, dear friends for your blessings and good wishes to mum and, for your continued support, love and encouragement as I grow my yoga business.
Final Prayer
May you are your loved ones be blessed with good health, strength and stay united in a deepening circle of love.
One Heart, One Family, One Dream

PS..and even though this picture came out a bit blurry….it is one of my fav because I love the way Jameela is grinning up at Grandma and how happy mum looks.
