Bless you Gentle Reader and thanks for opening and returning to my page. I know how busy and full your life is so I always appreciate you taking the time to pause a while and read my mix of yoga, meditation and self-care posts. Thank you.

I know from your emails and social media updates many of you are going through some pretty scary stuff and questioning relationships and your place in your world.
That takes courage as it much easier just to settle and live with what you know, what is comfortable for you and doesn’t rock the boat. Taking time to re-evaluate, re-assess and act on your thoughts and feelings is the mark of a dedicated yogi.
Why Do You Practice Yoga?
Everyone practices yoga for different reasons yet ultimately the result is the same…you become more aligned, more authentically attuned to the power of your soul and this call, this search for harmony and tranquillity in your body and mind propels you to find out more about “who you are” and “what you stand for”; with the added benefit that yoga gives you tools, techniques and tips to overcome your inner demons.
What Happens When You Meditate?
Every time you settle down to meditate, always take a deep breath and on the exhale allow your mind to come into that space of calm and stillness as you focus on your point of concentration. And when you finish and reengage with the world, your mind is calmer, clearer, problems which were problems before dissolve as you receive the answer, a way forward through the “crisis”.
It is as if you have been immersed in some sort of tunnel and you emerge, wiser, stronger, and clearer of what you are supposed to do in any particular situation.
So following on from that energy, I would like to share with you a Prayer of Thanks- I recently wrote following a recent meditation.
Prayer of Thank
Thank you Dear Father-God for the truth, for the sight of insight
Thank you for the gift of peace, for showing me how to breathe and claim my light.
Thank you for the gift of life
For the gift to see beyond the physical and ascertain what is right for me, for the gift of words to fill the page and liberate hearts, tired, wearied and dull.
Thank you for enabling me to let go, let go of the past and shine, radiate with heaven’s delight as I soar and surpass my wildest dreams.
Thank you for encoding me with words, for enriching my life, for giving me the space to accept my light, to shine and Return Home to thee.
Thank you for all the seen and unseen forces which bless and guide my heart.
In peace. I belong to thee.

Closing Words
As you can see prayer and meditation form the core of my daily yoga practice. In fact, traditionally yoga poses were designed to enable you to sit and settle your mind and body to meditate. If you wish to find out more about meditation and how learning to meditate helps you de-clutter and quieten your mind, my ebook A Woman’s Book of Yoga, A Guide To Relax and Nourish Your Soul has a whole chapter dedicated to teaching you just that. You can get a sneak preview of this chapter and download it for free when you click here.
I wish you peace, strength and courage as you grow in your truth.
One Love
