Hugs and blessings gentle readers and how are you today? Welcome to this week’s vblog “Here’s My Bedtime Routine 2016 Goal Update.
Well, we are now into the 7th week of 2016 and I’m wondering how you are getting on with sticking with your 2016 New Year Resolutions. Did you make any?
One of my 2016 health and wellness goals is to have a “Restful Bedtime Routine and Be In Bed by 1030pm.
Over the years, I have become a night owl and these days, my body needs the rest. So, I thought, making 1030pm my bedtime, would be a good habit to aim for. However, as you’ll see from last week’s vlog and today’s video, I’m kinda struggling to be in bed before midnight.
This week, I’ve managed to be in bed before midnight on only two occasions (11.08pm and 11.45pm) I’m going to keep making “being in bed by 1030pm” my One Thing because when I do, I always wake up feeling rested and naturally full of energy the following morning, which has a positive effect on the rest of my day.

I have been doing quite a bit of reading and research around the whole topic of sleep, which I am looking forward to writing up as one of my Kindle eBooks.
Like most women over 50, I’m very aware of my health and the need to
take extra care these days to find ways to look after myself.
No one can predict the future, but I believe, the more effort we put in now, in terms of nurturing and strengthening our minds and bodies, especially getting enough sleep, it helps you face life in a more positive way.
As women, we have to take responsibility for our health, and for me, I’ve reached the stage in my life where, getting enough sleep, has become a priority. This is why I have dedicated February to look at my daily sleep/bedtime routine habits and find ways I can simplify my life to be in bed by 1030pm.
I’d love to know what your bedtime routine consists of; what time do you get to bed and do you have a particular wind down routine you follow? Please share as that’s the best way to encourage each other to take better care of yourself.
Thanks a lot.
Keep resting and shining your light.

You may laugh at my bedtime routine! Most nights I am asleep before 9:00PM some nights earlier. So I would say I usually am asleep sometime between 8:30 and 10:00. I rarely see 10 PM. I am an early riser, usually totally out of bed by 6 after hitting snooze once or twice at 5:45. My bedtime and morning time is VERY essential to my day. If I don't get up early enough to meditate, and be alone by myself my day usually does not go to smoothly. I've been like this my whole life. Going to bed is the same, as soon as I sit at night, I am usually ready for bed. I usually leave my husband downstairs watching TV because I like to sleep in silence. Once he comes up, these days, I go into our spare bedroom, (the kids are gone) because he cannot sleep without a TV, I need silence and darkness.
