What is life if you don’t take the time to relax, reflect and give yourself a pat-on-back? If your life is anything like mine, you probably spend most of your time planning, doing, making and setting goals and working towards achieving goals.
Yesterday, my business mentor and coach, Judith Morgan (check her out on www.judithmorgan.com ) reminded me to slow down, to breathe and to give myself a pat on the back, to stop chasing my tail and fully remind myself just how far I have come.
I set such high goals for myself, yet as Judith rightly said, life is a journey. Each baby step adds up to the infinite potential and unlimited possibilities. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so why do I wish to achieve and climb the mountain now.
That’s why I believe I am called to teach and inspire you through the medium of yoga. Yoga has helped me to slow down, to recognise my vulnerabilities, to reflect and grow. Through my daily yoga practice and little yoga-breaks during the day, I am able to return to my centre – to slow down and regain my inner calm and knowing.
Judith reminded me that “success” is individual. At times I fail to see how far I have come, what I have achieved, so it was nice to hear Judith remind me to breathe and reflect. And yes. I am doing well. Life is flourishing and business is booming…maybe not as bright and loud as I would like..yet nevertheless, business is booming. And will continue to do so. As long as I take time to reflect, pause, give thanks and continue to take those baby steps.
I trust as you climb your personal mountains, you will take time to pause, to see beyond the tor yet still enjoy just how far you have climbed. I would love to hear from you your reflections on your journey and celebrate your successes.
