Blessings dear friend, how are you today? Thanks for pausing and passing by; I wish you a peaceful and restful Easter.
Today’s post is short and sweet.

Sometimes I feel soooo full I could burst. My eldest daughter is home from uni and sitting around the dining table today eating lunch (my dad is also here and staying a few weeks with us) I felt so proud and glad to be their mum.
My dad’s face was a picture
Like all granddads he loves his grandbabies. I could see his eyes swell and quiet tears fill his heart as he sat and listened to the girls chat and catch-up with each other. Dad is 80 in November, so I know how precious spending Easter here with us is to him.
If you are a parent or care for children you know how tiring parenting can be, yet as I sat around the dining table admiring my daughters and father I felt full. As parents, aunts, uncles, family friends it is easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, yet we must take time to pause and remember these precious moments. I wish to share another Happy Moment with you.
The Clap Song
Whilst washing up, I recalled my childhood and for some random reason I started singing the Clap Song. I was really getting into it and happy washing up and blaring out the words.
My daughters are 21st century girls so immediately they went onto youtube, found the original and we had a happy mad half hour singing, dancing and clapping along to Shirley’s famous song. I am sure if you are listening to Shirley Ellis’s song you too will feel rays of lightness and joy. Then as I went back to washing up I felt sad as I recalled the days of slavery and discrimination and marvelled that artists could sing their song and bring joy-despite the racism they faced.
So in the spirit of love and wherever you are and whatever faith you follow, I wish you a life time of joyful memories and happy moments with family and loved ones.
Please feel free to share your message of hope and joy in the comment box below and to forward this message to friends and loved ones via twitter or facebook. Thank you
In peace

Thank you Sally. I know it is a happy making song..ahhh the wonders of youtube in bringing old favourites to life. Happy Easter to you too. Peace and thanks for commenting.
Nice post indeed!
I think the greatest thing about Easter is also that it brings everyone together as a family, besides the love and religious reasons. It must be feeling wonderful to have your dad over and your daughter as well. I think these are the treasured moments we all look forward to – isn't it?
Have a nice time and be with everyone. Wishing you a very Happy Easter as well 🙂
Bless you Harleena, always good to read your positive thoughts. Yes, it is great having dad over..true hero in my life. Adds a wonderful mix and energy to our lives. yep..keep on treasuring our precious memories. When girls where little I kept a Happy Moments Journal…it was a big blank journal and we filled it in with pictures, daily happy moments etc…so heart warming to revisit. In fact I will revisit today. Happy Easter blessings to you and your family. One Love.
