Blessed Readers, welcome and thank you for taking the time to pause and read today’s blog post.
In this post I would like to share with you a simple Affirmation and Daily Prayer you can use to ease yourself gently into 2013 and support your desire for good health, inner peace and spiritual enlightenment.

As you know, 2012 has ended and we are now in a new era, 2013. A time for us to celebrate, acknowledge our greatness and step fearlessly into the unknown, trusting our divine intelligence to guide and keep us safe.
To support you through this process, I wish you, your friends and family a peaceful, harmonious and joyful 2013 and beyond. May your days be filled with the light of divine love as you embrace your fears, release and let go.
Prayer play a major part in your spiritual growth and unfolding. I know many of you say “you do not know how to pray” or question ” who am I praying to, especially if you do not follow a particular spiritual or religious path”. If this sounds like you, I encourage you, to let go of that belief and allow yourself to open up to the magic of your soul and whisper a few words of thanks for your life, your health and the beauty around you. That is prayer. That is acknowledging you are part of something, bigger yet intrinsically a part of you.
In yoga we are taught to see the sacredness of all life forms reflected through our eyes.
I recall, during my Yoga Teacher Training, marvelling at the sight of so many souls, from all corners of the globe, sit in silence and focus on our breath. That was powerful. If you have ever meditated in a group setting, then you will know the power of sitting, in silence, with others.
If you are new to prayer or if praying and meditating already form a key part of your daily life, the following Affirmation and Daily Prayer can be said anytime during your day to remind you to breathe, be still and reconnect with the sacredness of life.
Affirmation To Affirm Your Greatness
Take a long steady breath in through your nose, slowly breathe out, lower your shoulders and take another soft breath in and slowly release. Now you are ready to enjoy your bliss:
“… I Am fearless
I Am magnificent
I Am a divine gift to humanity.
I Am it. A spark of creation, a reflection of your truth and magnificence
A reminder that we are in this together. Forever. As One.
Breathing the same breath and swimming in the rivers of our lives…”
How do you feel when you read and absorb those words?
And now, if you would like to go further and deepen your daily spiritual practice, here is a Daily Prayer for Patience and Understanding, which I also wrote, to share with you.
Daily Prayer For Patience and Understanding
Divine Mother and Blessed Creator, grant us your presence. Grant me the time, space and energy to commit to my daily practice. To sit, in silence, day in and day out to honour you and the sacredness of life.
Grant me the wisdom, fortitude and inner strength to resit the temptations of the mind, to take the high road, when all I want to do is run and hide; kick, scream and shout.
Grant me patience, so that I see life through the eyes of divinity and speak kind, courteous words; help me to listen, truly listen to what you have ordained for me and in so doing I pray I will listen with the same respect and dignity to my fellow men.
Grant me insight, foresight, divine intuition to know when to breathe and give others space to breathe; to eat healthy wholesome foods; foods which help to nurture, sustain and build my core. Free me from the addictive cravings to substances which cloud my judgement and leave me tired, jaded, out of balance and alignment.
Strengthen my desire to step out, share my radiance, grandeur and might; to be a Warrior Queen, to stand tall in the midst of my daily life, when bills, failed payments and foreclosure knock on my front door.
Help me to serve, to learn and apply the teachings of old and use the tools of our time to serve, master and leverage my skills as I live life in the flow and to trust I’ll arrive safely on the other side.
Feed my spirit with truth, help me to see beyond the physical whether I sit in prayer, meditation and daily life. Help me to avoid judging, to see through your eyes and give you space to breathe and be.
And, as I Open to Spirit, may I always remain true to the calling of my soul and be the best I came to be.
In praise and thanks
